Birth Injury Legal Cases and Obstetrical Negligence

Birth Trauma-Cerebral Palsy-Erb’s Palsy-Shoulder Dystocia

When birth injuries are suffered as a result of obstetrical negligence, the results can be absolutely devastating. These birth injuries include injuries that occur to the mother or baby during the labor and delivery process. In these unfortunate cases, the injury occurs due to something that happens in the birthing process, such as improper fetal monitoring or improper delivery techniques. Serious injuries may also occur as a result of negligent prenatal care or care received after delivery. Some of the birth injuries and prenatal injuries that occur involve: Erb's palsy, Cerebral Palsy, Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, Shoulder Dystocia or Wrongful Death.

At Kenny, O’Keefe & Usseglio, P.C., we investigate and prosecute birth injury cases. Our focus is always on the needs of the client and the client’s family. We employ a Nurse Paralegal on a full-time basis to assist with case preparation. In addition, we consult with expert physicians who are leading authorities in their fields. We also will engage the services of life-care planners to assist in assessing the costs associated for caring for the victim of the birth injury. These needs usually involve educational issues, family integration, physical and occupational therapy as well as special needs trust issues for future care.

If you would like a free consultation on a Birth Injury or Birth Trauma legal matter, please use the Free Case Evaluation Form or e-mail us directly at tokeefe@kou-law.com.
