MOTION FOR SANCTIONS FILED IN ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL
CHILD SEX ABUSE CASE
The Plaintiff’s Steering Committee in the St. Francis Hospital Child Sex Abuse Case has filed a Motion for Sanctions on February 5, 2010 in Waterbury Superior Court. The motion seeks an order from the court to prevent Attorney Janice Howe of Boston, Massachusetts from appearing at any case related proceeding without being accompanied by an attorney who is admitted to practice law in Connecticut. The Superior Court had previously allowed Attorney Howe to be admitted to represent St. Francis Hospital in this case but ordered St. Francis Hospital to have a Connecticut attorney present at all proceedings. As set out in the motion, St. Francis Hospital has violated the court’s previous order on at least ten occasions.
