Settlement Reached with Archdiocese of Hartford

The attorneys representing 43 people who were abused by Hartford clergy have announced a global settlement with the Archdiocese of Hartford.  The settlement was reached after a lengthy mediation process with Magistrate Judge William I. Garfinkel at the United States District Courthouse in Bridgeport.  The settlement ends a very dark chapter in the lives of many of those abused by Hartford clergy.  Hopefully, the willingness of those abused to come forward to make these issues public will prevent other innocent children from suffering similar abuse.
