Appellate Practice

Kenny, O'Keefe & Usseglio, P.C. maintains a varied and diverse appellate practice, involving virtually every area of the law. The Firm's appellate practice draws upon cases referred to the Firm for the purposes of taking or defending an appeal, as well as litigation originally handled by the Firm at the trial court level.

Kenny, O'Keefe & Usseglio, P.C. provides its clients with one of the region's best known appellate practices, regularly appearing in Connecticut's Appellate and Supreme Court, as well as the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. The Firm's appellate attorneys devote the majority of their practice to the intricacies of appellate procedure and argument on behalf of the Firm's own clients, and clients referred to us for the purposes of taking or defending an appeal.

In addition to traditional appellate litigation, the Firm provides strategic counseling and advice relating to the appellate process. The Firm briefs and argues complex legal issues in trial courts, and assist in ensuring that legal arguments are properly preserved for appeal. The Firm also develops and advances constitutional and policy arguments concerning legislation and regulations for its clients.
